Khumbu Trek and Island Peak

This is the quintessential Nepal Trek, into the heart of the Khumbu and Everest region. First stop Kathmandu, a fascinating stop for even the seasoned international adventure traveler. We’ll tour the temples and markets before flying to Lukla, our gateway for the trek into the Khumbu. We follow the Everest trekking route through Namche, Tyangboche, Pheriche and up to Island Peak. You have the option of climbing this peak or trekking into the upper Chukung Valley. Island Peak is moderately difficult snow and ice climbing to just over 20,000 ft. From here, we continue up the Khumbu Glacier Valley, up to Everest Base Camp out via Cho La Pass and the Gokyo Valley. A spectacular trip into the best of Nepal!
