Welcome to Adventures International Inc. Answers to Frequently Asked Questions How do I find out more on the trip I want to go on? Call our office and we will be happy to discuss everything about your trip, the destination you would like to go, the political climate, physical conditioning. Anything you have questions about, we are here to help.
How do I sign up for a trip? Visit our How to Sign Up page for complete information.
After I pay a deposit, what happens? Once we receive a deposit for a trip, we follow up with all the information you will need for that trip. Pre-departure Information, Equipment Lists, Training Suggestions
What are my refund options? We are not strict with our refund policies. You are our customer and we value that and further understand that schedules and life's happenings can cause reasons to have to reschedule or cancel a trip. Our first choice is to always keep your business and try to accommodate you on the trip you would like, perhaps at a future date. If we can rebook your spot, we have no problems refunding your deposits. It is very rare we actually keep deposits for cancellations. We do highly recommend trip cancellation insurance in the unlikely event that anything keeps you from joining us. Also please read our Policies statement before sending any deposits.
Am I in shape for the trip I want to go on? Each and every trip has different demands both physically and mentally. See our Training Suggestions or call our office for specific requirements for the trip you are going on.
What about the altitude? Many of our trips go to high altitude. All our guides have extensive training and experience with high altitude and its problems. Every trip we lead to high altitude is carefully planned to allow the best acclimatization rate of ascent. We often see many groups (and other companies) going way to fast to altitude. Our success leading trips to altitude shows the care we practice in rates of ascent. During any trip to high altitude we follow everyone's progress acclimatizing very closely watching for any warning signs by regularly checking overall physical condition, pulse rates and oxygen saturation levels with a small tool called the Pulse Oximeter. These are very good tools to monitor everyone's progress, actually measuring the percentage of oxygen within your blood. We use these on all our trips to altitude!
Does Adventures International make my plane reservations? We often do make reservations for people and can help point you in the right direction for the best fares to our destinations. The airlines and agents we deal with, we have found provide some of the best services for the best prices. Each country is different so call now and we'll let you know how we do it and where to call for the best fares.
What are the other people like that are on my trip? Before a trip leaves we will forward, at your request, a list of the other people going on your trip to allow everyone to start forming the bonds that a longer trip requires with the others in your group. Group Dynamics are critical in trips of this nature. We have found people make lifelong friends after the experience of sharing one of our trips. We encourage this and find these are some of our best customers, those returning after a trip with us with new friends that enjoy similar experiences in life!
